Police appeal for witnesses following serious assault in Paignton

Police have appealed for witnesses following an assault in Paignton.

The incident happened near Lower Polsham Road yesterday, Thursday 11th January in the early hours of the morning.

A man in his 30s received serious injuries was taken to Torquay Hospital for treatment.

Paignton Police said on Facebook:
“Due to an incident on Lower Polsham road in Paignton in the early hours of this morning the road will be closed off for some time. This will include pedestrians too so please try and avoid this area today,”

Investigating officers are keen to speak to anyone with information or who witnessed the assault.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or has information is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or via 101 quoting log 51 of 11/1/18.
