Police appeal for witnesses after man serious injured in collision

Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was left with serious injuries following a collision in Newton Abbot on Friday, 14th September.

Emergency services were called to the collision involving a VW Golf and Motorcycle on Ashburton Road at
at 6.50am.

The motorcyclist, a 51-year-old man from Buckfastleigh sustained a serious leg and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, his injuries are believed to be life changing.

The male driver of the car has sustained minor injuries.

There was also an HGV involved having been struck by the motorcycle immediately post-collision. This vehicle sustained minor damage and the driver was unharmed.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact 101@dc.police.uk and quote log number 114 of 14th September.
