Police in Ivybridge have appealed for witnesses following an unprovoked attack on a woman yesterday in the Cadover area on Saturday.
The man attempted to drag the female runner into his car.
Police took to social media to appeal for any witnesses or anyone who may know the alleged attacker to contact them.
Posting on Facebook, they said:
“Were you in the Cadover area between 1030 and 1200 yesterday? We are looking to identify a male suspect in relation to an unprovoked attack on a female running in the area.
“He is described as;
White, late 30s and between 5’8” and 6′, with distinctive blond or light brown dreadlocks style hair tied in a bun. He had a distinctive ‘chiseled’ jaw, and was wearing a navy blue trench coat, light blue jeans and a multi coloured scarf.“He was driving a dark vehicle, possibly a new shape Vauxhall Corsa.”
“We would also advise people to be extra vigillant until the male is caught. Please help by sharing this post to raise awareness and help catch the male. Thank you.”
