Police remain at the scene of an incident in Torquay this evening, with the area cordoned off.
Police, including armed police, ambulance crews and air ambulances attended an incident in Tamar Avenue this afternoon, Sunday 31st October.
Two air ambulances landed in a nearby park.
Armed police were seen entering a property and appear to have detained one person.
The nature of the incident and the number of casualties involved has not been confirmed.
The road remains partially closed and a police cordon remains in place with police present.
The road is not accessible from Dart Avenue but is partially accessible from Torridge Avenue.
