Police have warned the public to be vigilant following a recent spate of purse thefts in the Torbay area.
Police say that there has been number of purses being stolen from handbags and that offenders are targeting older, lone women, particularly in Torquay town centre.
Police have asked for people to make elderly friends, relatives or those who may be vulnerable aware of the incidents
