The stunning English Riviera will serve as the backdrop for these extraordinary aerial displays, showcasing the unparalleled skill of the Royal Air Force’s finest teams. The timeless spectacle of the RAF Red Arrows will return with their full nine-ship team, executing synchronized manoeuvres that will leave spectators in awe as they streak across the Bay on both Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June.

After its roaring success last year, the powerhouse RAF Typhoon will soar through the skies once again, demonstrating its incredible speed, agility, and engineering prowess. This marvel of modern engineering will showcase its stunning noise and impressive bright engine glow on both days at this year’s event and is sure to leave a lasting impression on onlookers.

For over 100 years the Royal Air Force has defended British skies and in 1940 it experienced its greatest test in the Battle of Britain. This year, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, will feature the Dakota, Spitfire, and Hurricane. Performing on both days, this year’s display is particularly significant as it coincides with the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe, a poignant reminder of our history.

With the RAF headliners confirmed, fans of the English Riviera Airshow are encouraged to “Make a Weekend of It!” The festivities ‘take off’ on Friday 30 May, with a surprise evening aerial display yet to be announced, along with an electrifying lineup of live music to set the stage for an unforgettable weekend.

In addition to the world-class flying displays, this year’s event promises an enhanced ground experience, featuring a military village, funfair, STEM Marquee, craft fair, live performances, and an array of local South West traders and exhibitors.

Local sponsors, businesses, and supporters as always have played an instrumental role in bringing the 2025 English Riviera Airshow to life. Their generous contributions, both financial and in-kind through essential event infrastructure, highlight the significant impact of the Airshow on the local economy and community.

Cllr Jackie Thomas, Cabinet Member for Tourism, Culture & Events and Corporate Services at Torbay Council, said; “This is the news that we have all been waiting for. We are absolutely thrilled that we have secured three of the best RAF display teams for both the Saturday and Sunday of the event.

“Each year of the airshow we aim to make it bigger and better than the year before. We couldn’t do this though without the generous support of our event partner, the English Riviera BID Company, our sponsors, and supporters – thank you.”

Carolyn Custerson, Chief Executive Officer, English Riviera BID Company, said; “The English Riviera BID Company are delighted to be major sponsors again this year with the English Riviera the ultimate UK destination for an airshow. The event keeps growing and attracting tens of thousands of people to the area every year.

“What makes the English Riviera such a special place to host this event, is the natural amphitheatre, surrounded by dozens of viewing points. Whether you want to be in the heart of the action in the event village, sat on a cliff top, or enjoying one of our waterfront hospitality destinations, the event is open and accessible to everyone.”
