Road closed following serious crash near Dawlish

Luscombe Hill near Dawlish is currently closed following a serious collision earlier today.

Emergency services were called to the incident involving a car and a tree just after 11 am this morning, Monday 30th July.

The road is closed in both directions and police remain at the scene.

One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Devon and Cornwall Police said on twitter: “Emergency services at the scene of a serious single car collision near Dawlish. A car has collided with a tree on Luscombe Hill, and one person is trapped. Diversions are in place. We ask road users to avoid the area for the foreseeable future,”
