Update: Reports from the scene state the carriageway is closed in both directions. One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A380 Marldon Way is currently closed Paignton bound due to a serious collision this morning, Saturday 10th August.
Emergency services remain at the scene.
Traffic is slow around the area due to the collison at Preston Down Roundabout.
Diversion in place.
Paignton Police said on Facebook: “Police are dealing with an incident on the Ring road between Preston and Shiphay round about. This road will now be closed while police are on scene This area should be avoided as there will be long delays.”
Advice is to use the seafront instead of the ring road if heading to Paignton from Torquay.
