Appeal for witnesses after motorcyclist seriously injured in collision

The A379 is closed in Modbury due to a serious collision involving a car and pedestrian.

Broad Street is closed both ways between Barrack Road and Galpin Street.

Very slow traffic in and around the area.

Ivybridge and rural Police said on Facebook: “Serious road traffic collision in the centre of Modbury, roads closed for the foreseeable.

“If you need to get to the other side, Bigbury, Kingsbridge direction the best current route is to head to Totnes. The Loddiswell route is also very busy with traffic at standstill at places.
Thank you for your patience while our traffic Officers work at the scene.”
