Update: The road is now open.
St Marychurch Road in Torquay is currently closed both ways due to a collision between a car and a pedestrian earlier this morning, Wednesday 20 January.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Plainmoor shops at around 6.40am.
The road from Bronshill Road to Cedar Court Road. Traffic is coping well.
The pedestrian has been taken to hospital.
