The live stream video shared over Facebook, alleges that the 36-year-old man had been talking to what he thought was a 14 year girl online.

Posting on Facebook this morning, Teign School said:
“We were made aware last night, via Facebook, of an allegation directed toward a part-time cleaner at Teign School. We immediately contacted the police and the local authority and asked them to investigate these allegations rigorously and swiftly. The member of staff has been suspended, without prejudice, with immediate effect.

“We would like to emphasise that the person against whom this allegation is made has not worked directly with children at Teign School and all previous safeguarding checks have indicated his suitability to work in a school environment.

“Teign School is proactive in ensuring that all staff who work at the school, including those who work outside of normal school hours, are put through the appropriate checking systems, including the DBS Barred list. We also work with the police and appropriate authorities to raise any concerns that may be brought to our attention by members of the public.

“Please do not hesitate to contact the school should you require further reassurance,”
