A second person has been charged following an alleged assault in which a man was seriously injured in Torquay earlier this week.
The incident happened in the Castle Circus area of Torquay on Tuesday 9 January.
The area was cordoned off for much of the day.
Ryan Dodd, aged 29, of Abbey Road, Torquay, has been charged with attempted murder, assault by beating, possession of a bladed article and criminal damage. He is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today, 11 January.
Katie Rockett, aged 29, of no fixed abode in Torquay, has also been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. She appeared before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 10 January, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on Thursday 8 February.
