Police have appealed for witnesses to a serious collision in Plymouth on Saturday, 13th May.

Emergency services were called to a collision at around 1.10pm opposite The Pheasant Pluckers pub on Albert Road, Plymouth.

The collision involved a pedestrian and a Fiat Punto. The pedestrian, a 45-year-old woman from Plymouth, received serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

Police closed the road for seven hours while a specialist forensic examination of the scene was carried out.

Officers from the Plymouth Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses to the collision and would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area prior or during the time of the incident.

Anyone who can assist is asked to contact the team via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting log number 420 of 13/05/17.
