The popular Starcross Fishing and Cruising Club (SFCC) has raised £1,000 for Exmouth RNLI following a series of fundraising events.
Over the last few months the SFCC, a community based sports and leisure boating club based in Starcross who welcome all fisherman and women members to promote safe boating and sea fishing in the Lyme Bay and South Devon areas, has recently shown its support for the lifesaving charity by raising £1,000 through a series of events and fundraisers.
President of the SFCC, Becky Le Milliere recently presented their cheque to Exmouth RNLI Coxswain, Steve Hockings-Thompson at the Club.
Steve said “On behalf of all the volunteers at Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat Station, I’d like to thank the Starcross Fishing & Cruising Club for raising funds for us. This very generous donation will be used for essential training and equipment for our crews to enable them to continue their vital lifesaving work.”
