Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat has been a long standing recognised title; a must-see production for anyone of any age. The one thing that it’s known for is the Technicolour Dreamcoat. However, in this collaborative project with the Princess Theatre, students from FdA Contemporary Arts Practice and FdA Fashion with Textiles, along with HE Academic Coordinator Sam Aspden, produced a Dreamcoat with a new spin.
Open your eyes and draw back the curtain and you’ll see this Technicolour Dreamcoat has been designed and sewn together out of recycled fabrics and clothes such as football shirts and, coincidentally, curtains. All materials used were recycled and donated by staff and students.
The hair and make-up for the photoshoot was all carried out by Level 2 Hair and Make-Up students Daisy Bovey, Eden Fockens, and Yasmine Logan, with Jasmine Watson being the model. The photos were taken in the brand new photography studio in the Hi Tech & Digital Centre by adult students that are studying a course in photography. It’s exciting and a great opportunity for a whole range of our students across various courses to be working on this project with the Princess Theatre.
