Torbay Council want to hear from members of the Armed Forces Community about their lives during or after service.
The Armed Forces Community includes servicemen, servicewomen, veterans and members of their families. A survey has been set up to allow the council to understand the challenges the community faces. The council will use responses to shape future support for the community in Torbay.
Councillor Hayley Tranter, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Inequalities, and Communities for Torbay Council said: “As a council, we seek to support all serving and ex-serving personnel, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and their families.
“The Armed Forces Community survey is the next step in our conversation with our community. It will allow us to understand the challenges people face and the support we can help to provide. I’d ask all members of the community to fill out the survey and let us know how we can improve the local support network.”
Torbay Council is signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant. The Armed Forces Covenant’s main principle is to remove disadvantages that result from service life.
