TDA is proud to sponsor the Tourism and Hospitality category in this year’s South Devon College Apprenticeship Awards.
The awards will celebrate the success of apprentices and businesses in a prestigious ceremony at The Grand Hotel, Torquay on 3 May attended by hundreds of students, staff, local businesses and organisations, family and friends.
Apprentices have been nominated to win awards by their employers, peers and college staff and those who are shortlisted will be invited to the special ceremony.
Interim Head of Economy at TDA, Carl Wyard, said: ‘‘We are delighted to sponsor the Tourism and Hospitality category at this year’s awards. Tourism is at the heart of Torbay’s economy and the English Riviera has a bright future with many exciting careers for people of all ages and abilities.
‘‘We believe greatly in the value of apprenticeships and the opportunities that they offer to both employer and employee. We are proud to have launched four new degree apprenticeship programmes of our own at TDA and to have recently organised the Torbay Apprenticeship Fair which was attended by hundreds of local residents. We look forward to attending the ceremony and celebrating the many achievements of apprentices from across our region.’’
