After snow fell last night, leaving some routes impassable, some South Devon schools have closed today, Friday 1st February due to snow and ice.
The South Devon schools closed today are:
-Bidwell Brook
-Broadhempston Primary School
-Coombeshead Academy YEARS 7-10
-Hennock primary
-Kingskerwell primary
-Newton Abbot College YEARS 7-10
-Orchard Manor School
-Our lady of the angels (Queensway)*
-River Dart Academy
-Stover School
-Teignmouth Community school
-Whiterock primary NURSERY AND RECEPTION ONLY.
*Due to adverse weather and sickness absence.
