Three people charged following assault

Three people have been charged following an assault on a woman in Newton Abbot last weekend.

Following a police investigation into an assault on a woman in Buckland Estate in Newton Abbot on Saturday 10 August, three people have been charged.

The assault happened in the Grenville Close area, Buckland, Newton Abbot on Saturday 10th August at around 11pm.

The victim, who is in her 20s was punched, kicked and stamped on during the incident and had items, including a purse, stolen from her.

The woman received injuries to her face and upper body. She has received medical treatment and is currently recovering with support.

Two men and a woman have now been charged in relation to the incident.

Katie Wills, aged 27, of Howards Way, Newton Abbot has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, robbery, possession of a Class B controlled drug and possessing a weapon for the discharge of electricity.

Terry Sneap, aged 29, of Darran Road, Kingsteignton, has been charged with robbery, assault causing actual bodily harm, possession of a firearm whilst committing robbery and producing a Class B controlled drug.

Scott Dore, aged 26, of Queensway, Newton Abbot, has been charged with robbery and assault causing actual bodily harm.

They are due to appeal at Plymouth Magistrates Court on Wednesday 14 August.
