Tom Hardy’s secretive visit to Torbay

Tom Hardy, star of blockbusters including ‘Legend’ and oscar-winning film ‘The Revenant’ paid a short and secretive visit to Berry Head National Nature Reserve in October 2015, to film an advertisement for international brand Hyundai.

Several scenes were filmed across two Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust locations and have been brought together to produce this stunning advert, set for TV screens in Korea.

Torbay Coast and Countryside Market Officer Laura Murch said ‘Production companies have used our sites for various filming projects over the years, but we have never had a star as big as Tom Hardy pay us a visit before. The cast and crew were highly professional and worked with us to ensure that they operated within boundaries set by both the Trust and other wildlife protection organisations including Natural England. The project was a great coup for the Trust and all funds raised have been ploughed back into local conservation work’.

You can enquire about filming at a Trust site by contacting Laura Murch by email laura.murch@countryside-trust.org.uk or call 01803 520022.
