A 45 year old man from Torquay has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Torquay which left a woman with life-threatening injuries.
Alexander Toth is charged with the attempted murder of a 41-year-old woman in Hartop Road on Wednesday 23 March.
He is further charged with possession of a blade/sharply pointed article and is due before Torbay Magistrates’ Court tomorrow [Friday 1 April].
Toth was released from Torbay Hospital yesterday, Wednesday 30 March having been treated for injuries sustained during the alleged assault and remains in police custody pending his court appearance.
The woman remains in a serious but stable condition at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
