Update: The lines have been reopened.
Trains are currently delayed due to an incident between Torquay and Paignton this morning, Monday 15th April.
Trespassers are reported to have caused the delays with information at the station stating the windscreen of a train had been smashed.
Police, fire crews and paramedics are at the scene with paramedics seen walking down the tracks to assist.
Passengers were asked to leave the station whilst a casualty was taken to a waiting ambulance.
Updates as more information becomes available.
National rail website states: “A trespasser on the railway between Newton Abbot and Paignton means that all lines are blocked. Trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 25 minutes. Disruption is expected until 12:15.”
