More vans and caravans are still arriving to the area this evening, Sunday, 24th June.

The green, a stones throw away from the beach is used by locals and holiday makers for picnics, ball games and dog walking.

The camp has been reported to the council.

So what happens next? First, there will be a site visit, then any needs the travellers have will be assessed. For more information, click here: https://wearesouthdevon.com/unauthorised-encampment-torbay-council/

One local told us: “I thought it was all to do with the marathon but then they got a bbq out and I realised they were actually setting up camp there.”
