A Torbay Accountant & Business Coach has received major recognition after triumphing at the National Entrepreneur Awards.
James Twigger, based in Paignton, was announced as the winner of ‘The Most Inspiring Business Person’ Award in front of a packed audience of over 1,000 fellow entrepreneurs at the Awards ceremony, which was held at Birmingham’s ICC earlier this month.
The event is the highlight of the annual “National Entrepreneurs Convention” run by the business growth specialists Entrepreneurs Circle and attracts over 1,200 visitors every year, along with hundreds of exhibitors, all dedicated to helping ambitious business owners.
James, a Chartered Accountant turned business coach, co-founded Accounting 4 Everything in May 2016. His passion for helping businesses thrive has been evident in his commitment to the local entrepreneurial community.
In 2022, James overcame a challenging period of burnout, returning in a new Coaching role with renewed enthusiasm and a newfound focus on work-life balance; a struggle he shares with many of his clients.
In addition to his professional achievements, James is a devoted husband to his wife Clare and a loving father to two wonderful children, Olivia (12) and Alfie (8), who has Down’s syndrome. James’s personal experiences have given him a unique perspective, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and balance, not just in business but also in life.
Commenting on the award, James said, “I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition. My journey, both professionally and personally, has taught me the vital significance of resilience and finding harmony between work and family life. This award is not just mine; it belongs to the incredible businesses I work with and the unwavering support of my family and team.”
James’s triumph came alongside recognition for entrepreneurs in seven other categories, from Best Marketing Campaign to Best Business Growth, as business owners from across the UK came together to celebrate their achievements and to be recognised for their hard work and dedication.
Nigel Botterill, founder of Entrepreneurs Circle and the creator of 10 different £1m+ businesses himself said;
‘As entrepreneurs we’re always focused on “what’s next”. We’re notoriously bad at recognising and celebrating what we’ve achieved and how far we’ve come and I’m delighted for James and all of the winners and finalists here with us tonight.
‘The great work they do often goes unnoticed, which is why, ten years ago, we created the National Entrepreneurs’ Awards. We’re on a mission to recognise and reward business owners, like James, that have achieved great things over this last year. We want to shine a spotlight on the amazing things entrepreneurs all over the UK are doing to build their businesses, put something back into their local communities and give the country’s economy a much-needed shot in the arm.’
