The fire service were called to reports of two dogs that were stuck after falling down a steep embankment in Shaldon today, 23rd July.
One fire appliance from Teignmouth and a Specialist Officer were initially mobilised to the incident on Commons Old Road just after 3.30pm. On arrival, crews requested another appliance to attend.
Two terriers had fallen over deep embankment which was difficult access, crews looked to establish entry before rescuing the two dogs using ladders uninjured.
