Two men rescued from cherry picker by fire crews

Fire crews called to Babbacombe fire

The fire service were called to a reports a two men stuck in a cherry picker in Torquay this afternoon, 24th March.

One fire engine from Torquay attended the scene on Broomhill Way at around 12.30pm.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: 

“On arrival the crew confirmed there were 2 adult males stuck in a cherry picker and requested the attendance of the aerial ladder platform from Torquay.

“Once in attendance the aerial ladder platform and its crew were used to rescue the 2 males uninjured from the cherry picker,”
