‘Chapters’- Artizan Gallery
21st June – 29th June
Artist Claire Harmer is in Torquay showcasing her artwork ‘Chapters’ pieces of art that were inspired from her time in Tokoroa – New Zealand. There will be a opportunity to meet Claire between 6pm and 8pm on the dates shown.

Torbay Carnival Procession 31st July
Paignton Festival which was previously known as Torbay Carnival returns for it’s 75th year. Keeping with tradition there will still be a procession held in the evening. Did you know that Torbay Carnival has been running for over 100 years and was originally only for one night but has grown due to popularity?
The procession will start at the new time of 7pm leaving Paignton green. The procession will leave Pier Approach Road, turn left into Esplanade Road, right into Marine Drive and then finally back onto Paignton Green via the North Promenade Gates.
Also in attendance will be Anderton and Rowlands Funfair, Shopping Marquee, Charity Stalls, Live Music, Fireworks, Catering Bar and much more.
Dubs on the beach
4th August
Have a interest in Volkswagen Dubs? Like being by the beach? Well here is something you may find interesting… For one day only Volkswagen Show that takes place on Sunday 4th August 2019, all ages welcome to showcase and look at a wonderful selection of VWs on display. Bring down a picnic down to the beach and spend the day relaxing on the beautiful beach of Paignton. There will also be live bands playing throughout the afternoon along with Traders, Autojumble, Club Displays and of course, Show ‘n Shine.
All vehicles will automatically be entered Show ‘n’ Shine and trophies will be presented for the top 5 judged by the DABT team. Licensed bar and refreshments will be available along with activities to keep the children entertained.
Cockington Fayre
7th August
Cockington are holding their English village summer fair in the beautiful Cockington this August in the grounds of the historical Cockington Court. There will be stalls in abundance so if you are looking for something special this is the place to be from jewelry to paintings unlike anything you can find on the high street.
The Craft Centre is part of the historic Cockington Court, a 17th century manor house set in 460 acres of country park, and is a great place to explore once you are all shopped out.
Cockington is situated just one mile from Torquay seafront. Open all year round, entry is free and the Court is easily accessible on foot, by bus and by car.
Paignton Regatta Community Fun Week 2019
10th August – 18th August
Its the 172nd Paignton Regatta in August and its promising to be ‘bigger than ever’ with events happening with over 80 hours of free family fun in locations such as: Paignton Green, Paignton Beach and Torbay Velopark.
There will be on stage entertainment, fully licensed bars, crafts stalls and of course the Rowland’s Funfair will be making a a appearance.
Money raised will go towards awareness for local and national causes.
Children’s Week 2019
20th August – 24th August
Family sci-fi day 24th August
Children’s week is one of the UK’s longest running children’s festivals and is returning to Paignton seafront this August.
A week of fun filled activities for all the family with majority of events being completely free. So come down and spend the day on the green, take in the excitement or nip off to the beach. There will be plenty to do and don’t miss out on the sci-fi day!
