Woman in critical condition following M5 crash

M5 remains closed following serious collision

A woman in her 20s is in a critical condition following a crash on the M5 this morning, Monday 14th January.

The woman was airlifted to to Derriford hospital following the collision near junction 29 southbound at around 5.50am.

The collision involved a car and a lorry.Three other occupants of the car have been taken to RD&E hospital by land ambulance. They have sustained minor injuries. The driver of the lorry sustained minor injuries.

The M5 was closed for around six hours. It has now re-opened.

Anyone with information and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 82 14/1/19.
