Emergency services were called to a ‘female in distress’ on rocks by Meadfoot in Torquay yesterday, 12th May at around 10.49am.
Torbay Coastguard, Torbay RNLI inshore lifeboat, Police and ambulance crews attended the incident near Kilmorie flats.
The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance.
A spokesperson for Torbay Coastguard said on social media:
“Full team page by Maritime and Coastguard Agency to a female in distress on the rocks at Kilmorie Flats, Torbay ILB was also tasked. Team members first on scene located the casualty and assisted South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust whilst we awaited the arrival of RNLI Torbay Lifeboat to extract her. We relocated to Meadfoot Beach with Devon & Cornwall Police to help transfer the casualty into an awaiting ambulance,”
