Woman sustains life threatening injuries in M5 collision

Trains delayed due to incident at Torre train station

Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious collision on the M5 last night, Sunday 12 December.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9.15pm to reports of a
collision involving a BMW 1 Series and a Vauxhall Corsa near junction 31.

The driver of the Vauxhall has sustained life threatening injuries and was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries. The BMW driver sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed whilst police investigated the scene.

Any persons who witnessed the collision or have information regarding it – in particular any Dashcam footage are asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 quoting log number 875 of the 12 December 2021.
