A car was severely damaged by a car fire in Newton Abbot today.
The fire service was called to the incident at around 1.30pm.
Flames engulfed the Citroen Picasso, leaving it severely damaged.
A spokesperson for the fire service said:
“One appliance from Newton Abbot was mobilised to reports of a vehicle on fire at Torquay Road, Newton Abbot.
“On arrival crews discovered one car well alight.
“Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and small tools to extinguish the fire.
“The car was severely damaged by the fire,”
