Fire crews from South Devon attended at gorse fire in Ashcombe today.
Appliances from Teignmouth, Danes Castle and Dawlish, the four by four vehicle from Bovey Tracey and the water bowser from Danes Castle were mobilised to reports of a moorland fire just before 11am this morning.
A spokesperson for the fire service said:
“On arrival crews discovered approximately three acres of gorse and small trees well alight.
“Crews used two hose reels and beaters to extinguish the fire and damp down hotspots.”
