Emergency services called to 3 car collision

Emergency services at the scene

Update: The road is now cleared and recovery completed.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a collision on Hamelin way at around 5pm this evening.

Three cars were involved in the collision at the junction of Hamelin way and the South Devon Highway.

One man was released from his vehicle by fire crews, he was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police, ambulance and the fire service were at the scene, with the police diverting traffic.

It is currently unknown how many people were injured.

Recovery work is still taking place.
