Police appeal for witnesses to Newton Abbot Park assault

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward following an assault on a woman in Forde Park on 8th July.

The assault happened between 9.30pm and 10pm near the toilets next to the tennis courts and bowling green. The offender also tried to take the woman’s bag.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the assault and specifically a couple that assisted the female resulting in the male running off.

Anyone with information that could assist with the investigation is asked to email 101@dc.police.uk or call 101 quoting log 282 of 8thJuly 2016.

Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or reporting online atwww.crimestoppers-uk.org
