Police have confirmed a pedestrian who was injured during a collision in Paignton last month has died as a result of her injuries.
The collision happened on Saturday 30th July. The woman, a 68 year old from Paignton was in a collision with a Fiat Doblo as she attempted to cross Yalberton Road.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital. She died on Sunday 14th August.
The car driver, a 76-year-old Paignton woman, was not injured in the collision which took place at the junction with Brixham Road.
The road was closed for six-hours while officers from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit carried out a forensic examination of the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and would also like to hear from anyone who saw the Fiat travelling on Yalberton Road towards Paignton Zoo prior to the incident.
