A new laboratory at Paignton Community and Sports Academy’s Waterleat Road Campus has been successfully project managed from start to finish by the TDA’s Property Services department.
Due to an increased intake for 2016, Paignton Community and Sports Academy required an additional laboratory to be provided ready for the new Autumn term. An existing general classroom in a wing of the building which was constructed in the 1980s was converted into a Laboratory, together with the provision of a new Preparation Room.
The TDA also provided the architectural and structural engineering services for the successful project which was completed on time and on budget.

The £90,000 Torbay Council funded project was carried out in five weeks over the 2016 summer holiday period, with Morgan Sindall acting as contractor.

It was a real pleasure to work with the TDA who were well organised and professional in all their dealings with the Academy and who understood the needs of a school environment and were able to work to a tight time scale. The laboratory is an excellent teaching space, just what is required to inspire young people to take an interest in the important subject of Science”.
