The vehicle has left the road and gone into a ditch, trapping the driver.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Due to the precarious position of the vehicle, the male driver was trapped for sometime. Crews used a short extension ladder to reach the vehicle, from the side of the road, before using hydraulic cutting equipment to extricate him. First aid was rendered by both fire and ambulance crews, before he was conveyed to hospital via road ambulance,”
