£275 stolen from stall holder at Totnes Christmas market 

​A stall holder at Totnes market had £275 stolen from their cash box last night.

Yesterday was the first Tuesday Christmas market in the lead up to Christmas.
A spokesperson for Totnes Police said on Facebook :
“Great to see the town so busy and everybody in good spirits for the first night of Christmas Shopping.

“Unfortunately however, one stall holder had £275 stolen from her cash box whilst she was distracted with another ‘customer’. It is likely these thieves were working together or part of a larger group.

“If you are a stall holder or know somebody who will be holding a stall for the remaining 2 evenings, please be careful with your takings or advise those you know to take precautions.”
