The fire service was called to a car fire on the A380 yesterday evening.
Two fire engines were mobilised to the incident on the A380 southbound at around 6.50pm.
A spokesperson for the fire service said:
“On arrival the crew confirmed the vehicle was well alight and got to work using breathing apparatus and compressed air foam.
“The fire was successfully extinguished using the above equipment but the vehicle was left severely damaged by fire,”
The occupants had left the vehicle safely.
