A381 – Kingbridge closed due to serious accident

Update: The Road reopened after the incident had been cleared by emergency services.

A spokesperson for Kingsbridge Fire Station said: “Fortunately after some initial treatment the male was able to walk himself to the waiting ambulance.”

The A381, Kingsbridge is currently closed at Stumpy Post Cross due to a serious accident.

Emergency services are on scene and police are advising motorists to find an alternative route.

Posting on Facebook, Kingsbridge Police said:
“Police, Fire, and Ambulance are currently dealing with an RTC at Stumpy Post Roundabout after an 18 year old male had a medical episode whilst driving. The road between Stumpy Post and Ledstone Cross is closed whilst he is cut from the car. Please seek an alternative route.”
