A man was taken to hospital with spinal injuries today, 21st January following a fall.
The incident happened on Dawlish beach this afternoon. A man fell around 10ft onto concrete below, causing spinal injuries.
The Devon air ambulance landed on the beach but the man was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
Teignmouth and Dawlish Neighbourhood Police said on Facebook:
“The Devon Air Ambulance was called to Dawlish Beach this afternoon after a male suffered spinal injuries after falling 10ft from steps onto concrete below.
“Coastguard and the Devon Air Ambulance landed on the beach to assess the males injuries where he was then taken by land ambulance to hospital,”
Teignmouth Coastguard also attended the scene, assisting with the casualty and securing the area for landing and take off.
