A man has been taken to hospital following an incident at Torre Abbey Sands in Torquay this afternoon, Saturday 30th May.
The man is reported to have fallen from height into shallow water. The nature of the incident is not currently known.
Police, coastguard and ambulance crews attended the scene, with the air ambulance landing on the busy beach.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 4.30pm.
The man is suspected to have a head injury.
