An Aldi colleague in Newton Abbot is celebrating her work anniversary after 25 years with the business.

Teresa (Tre) Templar first joined the supermarket’s Cambourne Store as a Store Assistant in 1998. Assuming several roles over the years, including Deputy Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, Tre is now Store Manager.

From taking part in fundraising events for Aldi’s dedicated charity Teenage Cancer Trust, including a book sale and a half marathon, to supporting her fellow colleagues, Tre is an integral part of Aldi’s Newton Abbot team.

A well-known face amongst colleagues and customers alike, Tre has seen Aldi continue to grow and invest in the community over the years – including becoming the UK’s fourth largest supermarket last year.

Commenting on her time at Aldi, Tre said: “My proudest achievement has been progressing to Store Manager after leaving school with no qualifications or experience. It took a lot of hard work to get here but I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve had along the way and the amazing support I’ve received.”

When asked what the one Aldi product she couldn’t live without was, Tre said: “I have a sweet tooth, so I am always buying the Belmont Fig Rolls or Dairyfine Jive bars.”

Dan Oakenfull, Regional Managing Director, at Aldi UK said: “We are incredibly grateful to all of our colleagues and take great pride in celebrating their achievements.

“Colleagues like Tre have played a key part in our growth and success, and I would like to thank her for her contributions.

“Our colleagues allow us to connect with wider communities and continue to provide the high-quality service that customers keep coming back for.”
