Best Western The Dartmouth Hotel, Golf, and Spa at Blackawton in Devon is celebrating a new golf award this month, having been named Society Venue of the Year by Your Golfer Magazine.
Your Golfer Magazine is a publication designed for golf enthusiasts, helping them discover the best, most affordable, and most attractive golf clubs and offers across the UK.
This announcement builds upon other recent accolades, including its 59th ranking inNational Club Golfer’s Top 100 and position as the 68th-ranked resort in Today’s Golfer magazine’s Golf World Top 100: Resorts for GB and I.
Resort general manager Ian Davies said, “The team has worked incredibly hard to offer a high standard of golf facilities and service. Last year, we opened a new golf practice range, which has proven to be very popular. The grounds teams also work tirelessly to maintain the courses and do an incredible job, which was recognised in these awards.”
He added, “Awards such as this are not only a testament to my team’s work but also bring significant value to the local community. They help us to attract a growing number of golf travellers, potential members, and leisure visitors, who also contribute to the wider local economy through their support of shops, restaurants, pubs, and tourist attractions. Best Western The Dartmouth Hotel, Golf, and Spa offers an 18-hole championship golf course, a nine-hole club course, a practice range, and the services of PGA Professionals.
