Police have appealed to the public for information following an assault in Torquay on Monday 26 July.
The incident, involving a man and a woman happened on Belgrave Road between around 11.10pm and 11.50pm.
Police say it is understood that there were a number of people in the vicinity at the time and police would like anyone who witnessed the alleged assault or has any information which could assist police enquiries to get in touch.
A 33-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and has been bailed to return on Friday 20 August, pending further enquiries.
