Appeal for information on two separate assaults on women in Torquay

Police have appealed for information following two separate assaults on women in Torquay last week.

The first incident happened on Hele Road around 12.20pm on Friday 14th February. A 22-year-old woman was grabbed and spat at by a man. Police say that the road was reportedly very busy at the time and they would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

The suspect is described as being a tall, balding, white male aged in his late 40s or early 50s.
Crime reference number: CR/013423/20

Police are also appealing for witnesses of a second incident in the town, an assault on a 24-year-old woman in the area of Fleet Street and The Strand between 5am and 5.30am on Saturday 15 February.

The woman was located with injuries to her foot and lower legs and was missing her shoes.
Crime reference number: CR/013725/20

Anyone with any information about either incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting the relevant crime number.
