Appeal for witnesses after man seriously injured in assault


Police have appealed for witnesses following an assault in Plymouth at the weekend.

The incident happened on Anstis Street at around midnight on Sunday 12 September.

A man sustained a serious hand injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 32-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm with intent and criminal damage and has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could help with their investigation.
