Appeal for witnesses after cyclist found seriously injured

Police have appealed for witnesses after a 61-year-old man was found unconscious next to his Electric bike near Yealmpton at the weekend.

The man sustained serious head injuries and is currently being treated at Derriford Hospital.

Kingsbridge Police said on social media: “We are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found seriously injured in Yealmpton.

“The 61-year-old local man was found lying unconscious next to his electric bike on an unclassified road by Wonnell Barn around 5.45pm on Saturday 15 August.

“He sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

“We are investigating the circumstances of the incident and ask any witnesses to contact us via 101@dc.police.uk or by telephone on 101, quoting log number 821 of 15 August.
