Appeal for witnesses after man stabbed in eye

Police have reissued an appeal for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the eye earlier this month.

Police were called to reports of an altercation in Blackthorn Crescent in the Whipton area of Exeter on Sunday 4 October at around 11am.

Police, including taser-trained officers attended the incident in which a 20-year-old man sustained life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound to his eye.

A 28-year-old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of wounding/GBH with intent and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

In addition, a 26-year-old man, a 21-year-old man, and a 17-year-old male, all from Cranbrook, have were arrested on suspicion of affray, They were released on pending further enquiries.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw any activity prior to, or after, it.
Anyone with any information which could assist police enquiries is asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.police.uk and quote crime reference, CR/083593/20.
