Fleet Street closed due to pedestrian being hit by bus

Police have appealed for witnesses after a woman was hit by a bus in Torquay last night, Saturday 7th December.

The collision between a stagecoach bus and female pedestrian happened on Fleet Street at approximately 9:27pm.

The woman, aged 26, sustained considerable lower leg injuries and was taken to Derriford hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for a short time whilst emergency services dealt with the injured party and the scene.

The police would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity and witnessed the collision or may have dash cam footage of the incident or event leading up to it.
